AGP places audit reports before president, governors
ISLAMABAD: Auditor General of Pakistan (AGP) has submitted reports on the accounts of the federation for the audit year 2016-17 to the president and all provincial governors in a timely manner.
The reports were submitted in accordance with Article 171 (Annex-I) of the Constitution which lays down that that the reports shall be put before both the houses of Majlis-e- Shoora (Parliament).
The reports submitted included 14 annual regulatory audit reports, 13 reports pertaining to special audit and performance audit and 10 reports pertaining to financial statements of the federal government for the financial year 2015-16 and appropriation accounts of the federal government for the financial year 2015-16, the AGP spokesperson added.
The reports also included 102 annual regulatory audit reports, 34 reports pertaining to special and performance audit and 141 reports pertaining to financial statements of the provincial and district government for the financial year 2015-16 and appropriation accounts of the provincial and district government for the financial year 2015-16.
