Sabahat, Huzaifa win gold medals in Special Olympics

KARACHI: Pakistan’s Sabahat Tariq and Huzaifa Qazi won gold medals in the Special Olympics World Winter Games in Austria.
Murree-born Sabahat claimed gold in the snowshoeing 100m race in the division F02. Huzaifa captured gold medal in the 200m race in division M01. Huzaifa also got silver in the 100m.
Usama Aziz claimed silver in the 100m cross country M02 division. Fatima Amir won silvers in the 100m and the 200m.
Pervez Ahmed finished second in the 100m and the 200m.
Mehwish Tufail snared bronze in 50m and 100m cross country. Bronze medals were secured by Tehmeena, Mohammad Hamza and Farah Ehsan.
