Gambat election violence suspect among 10 held

The Sindh Rangers arrested 10 suspects in raids across the city.
The arrested men included activists of MQM-London – Mohammed Aslam, Mohammed Sohail, Mumtaz Ahmed, Mohammed Imran and Mohammed Kashif – who were arrested in Zaman Town after resistance.
They were said to be involved in extortion cases and wall chalking.
In Nazimabad, a gang war suspect Ghulam Ali was arrested. He is said to be a prime suspect in the polling day violence in Tehsil Gambat in 2015 that killed 11 people.
In Ittehad Town, a street criminal, Mohammed Asif, was arrested and an illegal resident, Basheer Khan, was held for carrying a fake ID card.
Also, two miscreants identified as Rustam Ali and Qamar Abbas were arrested for creating hurdles in the census process.
