No gas in Khuzdar
Khuzdar is the second biggest city of Balochistan in terms of population. It has great geographical importance; it is located at the centre of Balochistan at a distance of about 400 km from Karachi and 300 km from Quetta. It links Pakistan, Turkey and Iran, and is now called as the centre point of CPEC. It is unfortunate that the region is deprived of gas facility in this modern world. Every successive government announces the uninterrupted gas supply to the region, but nothing has happened so far. Balochistan is said to be a province rich in natural resources and its inclusion in CPEC projects is supposed to be the game changer for the region, however, the province’s second biggest city has no gas facility.
Time after time, gas projects are approved, but they are never executed. The gas authorities are requested to install a gas plant at Khuzdar as early as possible for the provision of gas to Khuzdar
