CM approves motorbike ambulance service in province

LAHORE

Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Monday said that Pakistan Muslim League-N is utilising national resources on public welfare honestly and saving billions of national money through the right use of resources and transparency, this hasn't been witnessed in the past. 

He said the government had saved Rs112 billion in three gas power projects, through transparency. We have set examples in welfare projects. The Punjab government is the most transparent government of Pakistan who has always welcomed people’s interest. 

He expressed the above views in a meeting with PML-N delegates. He also said he himself is invigilating the welfare projects and our government has also ensured the third party audit for transparency and quality standards and this has helped us in right use of the resources in the development projects. Metro Bus is the best example of using nation’s resources on common man, he added. Computerisation of Land record system is a historic step taken by our government. After the completion of rural land record system we will also introduce the land record system in urban areas as well. There is a definite socio-economic change after the introduction of Punjab Land Record Management System, this has saved people from the hassle of Patwari culture and they are getting their land record in minimal amount.

motorbike ambulance service: The Punjab government has decided to start the motorbike ambulance service and Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has approved this service in all the divisional headquarters in Punjab, including Lahore. 

The chief minister said on this occasion that the Punjab government had approved motorbike ambulance service in all the divisional headquarters of Punjab and for this purpose new ambulance service based on 900 motorbikes have been accorded while 900 medical technicians have been inducted for the motorbikes ambulance service. He said that motorbike ambulance service would play a massive role in reaching out to the emergency situation in crowded areas.

For the inauguration of motorbike ambulance service important steps have been implemented. Motorbike ambulance services will provide its services in emergency situations in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Multan, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Bahawalpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, Sargodha and Sahiwal. This service will be gradually extended to every city of Punjab. The technicians who have been hired for motorbikes ambulance services are being trained on modern lines.

This service is another feather in the cap of medical emergency services, the chief minister said, adding that people can get emergency services in the dark and narrow street of the cities. Mobile workshops will also be formed after the inauguration of this ambulance service.

Meanwhile, Shahbaz Sharif has expressed grief over the death of father of former batsman Zaheer Abbas. He also extended his condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul.
