Unbeatable Pakistan is a few strides away
Fair & Square
The time gap between the previous column and the present one witnessed many happenings including the martyrdom of DIG Captain Mobin , peaceful PSL and International Women’s Day.
The main thing common in the previous two happenings was the untiring vigil of Punjab Police inspired by the unfaltering resolve of Punjab CM, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif and the unflinching courage of COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa and the armed forces in totality which conveyed the message of Pakistan’s invincibility to both external and internal enemies.
The city of Lahore rather the whole country is proud of these top hats as well as their deputies who made the provincial metropolis a land of peace and thwarted the designs of our adversaries and their support base within our peripheries. I agree in toto with CM Shahbaz Sharif that the success of Pakistan Super League symbolizes a strong, unbeatable Pakistan which just can’t be subdued by conspiracies and terrorism. The armed forces in particular acted as a strong bulwark against all these evils. No less resolve was shown by Lahore Police under the captaincy of CCPO Amin Wains and DIG Dr Haider Ashraf whose sleepless nights provided great impetus to the security plans chalked out by the CM’s team and the armed forces. And to augment these peace moves, SSP Rana Ayyaz Saleem came up with a state-of-the-art ‘Local Eye’ IT/scientific plan that will provide the public direct, immediate access to the Capital City Police Officer through their elected local bodies’ representatives.
In my humble opinion, this scientific eye, under the greater umbrella of our valiant forces’ Rudd-ul-Fasaad, will squeeze the breathing and operational space for the anti-socials or even terrorists who have been having a level playing field against the innocent, harmless citizens.
As for the martyrdom of Captain Mobin, a Pak-American businessman who is running one of the biggest Halal food chains in the American continent, namely Gulzar Ahmad Khan, has informed me that his legally owned plaza was got vacated by the martyred DIG just on one phone call after Gulzar’s case was referred to him (Captain Mobin was then DIG Overseas Pakistanis Commission, Punjab) by Overseas Punjab Commissioner, Afzaal Bhatti.
OPC Punjab Commissioner Afzaal Bhatti has also confirmed Gulzar Khan’s statement and further informed that thousands of marlas (rather kanals) of properties of illegally occupied properties of expatriates and overseas Pakistanis have been got vacated besides recovery of millions of looted money from fraudsters who have been cheating overseas Pakistanis with immunity and impunity.
If all this is happening in this ‘land of myriads immunities’ where restraining orders and land-grabbing methods (and influential and well-protected and well-connected land grabbers) abound to an unreasonable degree, then it can be verily called a miracle.
