Islamabad: Terming the decision of Islamabad High Court in One Constitution Avenue case as 'landmark', Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has said that it is a matter of great satisfaction to see that there still exist people in Pakistan who can take just decisions based on merit and razing to the grounds the walls of wrong-doings, corruption and political clout.

Equally heartening is to see that no matter how difficult and long may be the journey to the justice, but ultimately it ends with justice prevailing.

The interior minister said that this decision also gives a message that there are people in Pakistan who are bulwark against corruption, be it in public organizations, government departments or is committed in collusion with private sector. This, he said, is indeed promising for the country. One Constitution Avenue was a building of corruption that was constructed with the connivance of a number of official, non-governmental, private bodies and personalities but one 'landmark decision' has razed to the ground the entire edifice of corruption.

This decision should also serve as eye-opener to those who manifest criminal negligence in protecting national interests for the sake of protection of their own interests, showing nepotism or for any other consideration and believe in different set of rules for different people.

Justice Athar Minallah of IHC Friday dismissed all petitions including BNP and allottees against the cancellation of lease agreement of the building.
