We will at least reach PSL final: Babar Azam
SHARJAH: Karachi Kings’ prolific opener Babar Azam said that they had defeated Islamabad United and would do it again here in Sharjah on Wednesday (today).
“We defeated them in Dubai and will hopefully do it again when we meet them here at Sharjah Cricket Stadium,” Azam told media persons during Karachi Kings net practice.
Azam, who scored a-run-a-ball 27 against Islamabad, said that it was a bit difficult condition because of rain, but he would try his best to score more in Sharjah.
“It will be batting friendly conditions here in Sharjah and I will try to score at least a half century to give a good start to the team,” he added.
The hard-hitting batsman said that his team had now gained some momentum. “Now we have ascertained our strengths and weaknesses and know our opponents. So, we are in a better position as compared to when we started. Hopefully our fans will see a strong side now,” he added.
The winner of today’s match will play against the losing side of the first qualifier match between Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators for a place in the final.
