On the concluding day of the first ‘Karachi Health Products Fair’, hundreds of visitors, including healthcare professionals, clinicians, researchers, students and officials from public and private hospitals visited the first ‘Karachi Health Products Fair’.
Held at the Liaquat National Hospital, the exhibition showcased latest equipment, machinery, biomedical products and devices used in the healthcare systems.
Organisers said around two hundred vendors, importers, suppliers and producers of the health products participated in the event.
Among the exhibitors were medical laboratory analytical equipments, surgical and pharmacy equipments, technologies and diagnostics, rehabilitation products, patient safety systems, infrastructure for healthcare set-ups and general goods providers in healthcare.
The visitors included surgeons, physicians, dentists, hospital owners, directors, hospital officials, pharmacists, physiotherapists, researchers, biologists, chemists and students.
Speaking on the occasion, LNH Medical Director Dr Salman Faridi said the first exhibition of its kind brought excellent results and the reason of organizing the event was to bring the sellers and buyers closer to understand and negotiate the products in a transparent manner.
Bringing the competitors in one such event would help buyers to negotiate the prices of the products, which in the end would benefit the patients, he said, adding that the income of this exhibition would go to the Liaquat National Hospital’s welfare charity.
