TSH leader, guards arrested in firing case

HARIPUR: A local leader of Tehrik-e-Suba Hazara (TSH) and former candidate from NA-19, Maj (r) Jamil Kiyani was arrested along with two guards for allegedly injuring three people near Chungi No 11 on Khanpur road here Saturday.

Officials at the City Police Station said that Jamil Kiyani, a local leader of TSH, was on his way to Haripur city in his van from Khanpur and had to stop as the road was blocked near Chungi No 11 due to construction work.

The TSH leader got out of his van, accompanied by his two guards Nazakat and Qasim, and asked the driver of tractor-trolley which he thought was deliberately causing obstruction in the traffic, for reversing it, which he refused and both sides engaged in altercation.

The police said the TSH leader and his guards in a fit of anger opened fire at the driver, which resulted in injuries to Tanvir, Muhammad Waqas and Bilawal. The injured were taken to hospital where the condition of the injured was stated to be out of danger.

Meanwhile, the police arrested Jamil Kiyani and his two guards and registered case against them.
