Services Delivery Centre closed to protest arrest of employees

MARDAN: The employees of Services Delivery Centre (SDC) closed the facility here on Friday to protest the arrest of computer operator and other officials of the Revenue Department on the charges of corruption by the Anti-Corruption Department Mardan, sources said.

The Anti-Corruption Department arrested Tehsil Takht Bhai Tehsildar Yadullah Khan, Girdawar Sher Bahadur Khan and computer operator Mohammad Ishaq of the Services Delivery Centre (SDC) in Mardan on February 21.

They were alleged to have verified the transfer documents of a piece of land, but the amount was not deposited in the exchequer. Later, on the complaint of Shaukat Khan, Circle Officer of the Anti-Corruption Department in Mardan, the first information report (FIR) was registered against the accused.

Sources in the Anti- Corruption Department said the accused were produced before Judicial Magistrate Shahzad Khan. However sources in the Anti-Corruption Department said that the judicial magistrate sent the accused to the Central Prison Mardan.
