11 blast injured discharged
LAHORE
Eleven injured of Thursday’s DHA blast have been discharged from Lahore General Hospital (LGH) after their recovery while four of the injured are still under treatment in the hospital.
Those discharged on Friday were also provided transport facility to reach their homes.
Meanwhile, Principal Post Graduate Medical Institute (PGMI) and LGH Prof Ghiyas-un-Nabi Tayyab and MS LGH Dr Ghulam Sabir while talking to doctors, nurses and paramedics who were serving the injured, said their services were commendable and they should continue with the same spirit of serving the humanity.
Director Emergency Dr Sikandar Hayat Gondal, Deputy Chief Nursing Superintendent Farhat Mahboob and other administrative doctors were also present on the occasion.
The Principal and MS assured the attendants of the injured that in accordance with the directions of the CM, senior doctors were dealing the cases of these injured and best available paramedics were also there to serve them. They hoped with the blessings of Allah, rest of the injured would recover very soon and get to their homes.
Saad: Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique along with senior police officials Friday visited the blast site in DHA Lahore and got briefing about the latest developments regarding the occurring of the sad incident in which eight people lost their lives and 35 others received injuries.
According to a press release issued here Friday by PR media wing, the minister strongly criticised terming the accident an act of terrorism, saying media propagated the incident without any confirmation. He said everyone, including media should remain vigilant and careful regarding such incidents because, what he said, irresponsible reporting always supported the agenda of terrorists. He also suggested that people should criticise negative propaganda campaigns being run on social media.
Khawaja Saad Rafique said Pakistan Army and the government had achieved a number of successes on the front of war on terror so far.
Earlier, the minister chaired a meeting on Railways schools and directed the authorities concerned to improve the quality and standard of education there. He directed the officials concerned to conduct surveys of Railways schools and prepare a roadmap about how things could be improved in the educational institutions being run by the Railways.
