Former town nazim Shaukat Ali joins PTI

PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan Thursday said that PTI had laid the foundation of strong and stable Pakistan.

He was speaking to party workers at a ceremony at the Chief Minister’s House where former Town Nazim Haji Shaukat Ali along with family and friends announced joining the party.The PTI chairman said that due to practical approach of PTI and its’ performance in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province the leaders and workers of other political parties were joining his party. He said that PTI was committed to making Pakistan a prosperous state and is standing up against the corrupt forces.

Imran Khan welcomed Shaukat Ali in his party, saying that the country needs young and energetic leadership.Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Pervez Khattak said that people in large number were joining PTI due to its dynamic leadership and policies. He said PTI had emerged a strong political force which would guarantee a strong and prosperous Pakistan. “We have laid the foundation of new Pakistan on sound footing and now it was the duty of the people to play their role in making this building strong.Central General Secretary PTI Jahangir Tareen, provincial ministers and party worker were also present on the occasion.
