Khalid Iqbal Malik, president, Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) has called upon the government to arrange early shifting of district courts from F-8 Markaz, to ease the problems of business community as existence of courts in this business centre was a high security risk due to which business activities were suffering.

He said that following the recent attack on a court in Charsadda that left at least 8 people dead, traders and residents of F-8 area were very much concerned as there was always a security threat. He said the litigants coming to attend district courts were used to park vehicles in front of residential areas in F-8 due to which the residents were facing great problems and this situation was creating security risks as well.

He appealed to the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Federal Interior Minister and Chief Justice of Pakistan to take urgent action and order for shifting of district courts from F-8 Markaz, to ease the difficulties of business community as well as the residents of the area.

Sardar Tahir, president, Traders Welfare Association, F-8 Markaz, said that due to the existence of district courts in F-8, business activities were suffering badly while traders were also feeling insecure due to high security alert.
