Cash, certificates for 11 PHP cops
LAHORE
Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP) Additional IG Amjad Javed Saleemi awarded 11 personnel with cash reward and certificates on recovering two illegal Kalashnikov along with bullets.
Sub-Inspector Asif Nadeem, ASI Abdul Latif, Constable Sultan Ahmad, Nasir Hayyat, Sohail Ansar and Naeem Ahmad of patrolling post 419 GB and ASI Suhail Nasir, Constable Nisar Ahmad, Waqas Khan, Sheraz Ahmad and Imran Khan of patrolling post Gheela Kalas while on routine patrolling checked suspected persons and recovered unlicenced two kalashnikov along with bullets from two persons illegal possession. Cases were registered and culprits were handed over to the respective police station.
ACCIDENTS: Almost 639 road traffic crashes were reported in Provincial Monitoring Cell of the Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) in all 36 districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours; in which 10 lives were lost and 512 serious injured were shifted to different hospitals of relevant districts & tehsils. However, some 232 victims, who sustained minor injuries, were discharged on the spot after provision of first aid by Emergency Medical Teams.
