PESHAWAR: A large number of women who visit the National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) office at Nishtarabad have asked the authorities to arrange seating facilities there.
The people have to wait in queues for hours when they visit the Nadra office, located on the Grand Trunk Road in Nishtarabad. The same is the situation at other Nadra offices. Hundreds of women and patients visit the offices daily to acquire the CNICs or other documents.
"Over 30 women had to sit on the floor or had to stand for hours due to the lunch break while waiting for turn. There must be benches for at least the elderly and sick women," complained a woman visitor.
She said that benches should be arranged in offices to facilitate the women. The same is the situation at other offices where women and men have to wait in queues for hours.
"As summer is approaching, there should be seating and shelter facilities for the women and men particularly the elderly and sick ones. Water coolers should also be placed to provide water to the people," said a visitor.
