ISLAMABAD: President Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) and former prime minister Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain Monday disbanded PML-Q body of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Fata and appointed Central Vice-President Ajmal Khan Wazir as the Chief Organiser for these areas.

This decision has been taken in a high level meeting which was participated by Central Secretary General Tariq Bashir Cheema, Senior Central Vice-President Ajmal Khan Wazir, Muhammad Yousuf Khan Hoti, Imtiaz Ahmad Ranjha and party office-bearers of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa who included Mir Afzal Khan Daudzai, Haider Khan Khalil, Mohammad Bilal Mohammadzai, Allama Shoaib, Asif Sarwar, Jasmin Bibi, Syed Hamid Shah, Malik Jamil Gauhar Khan and Zafar Khan and others.

Chaudhry Shujaat on this occasion said that those who stood with the party in difficult time were real Muslim Leaguers, opportunists who were not sincere with us how they would be sincere with anyone else.

He said people of Fata are patriot Pakistanis and there is dire need to end their deprivations and given fundamental human rights and equal opportunities for progress like people of other provinces of Pakistan.

He directed Ajmal Khan Wazir to enroll new people in the party, give preference to ideological workers of the party and they should all be brought on one platform in the organisation of the party.

Secretary General PML-Q Tariq Bashir Cheema said that entrusting this responsibility to Ajmal Khan Wazir was our unanimous. He said, "my appointment as the Secretary General of the party and of Ajmal Khan Wazir as the Chief Organiser is a challenge for both of us and we will try to shoulder these responsibilities through hard work and all our capabilities.”

Ajmal Khan Wazir said "This is an honour for me and I will leave no stone unturned in doing effective and forming strong reorganisation.”
