UET training workshop begins

A five-day training workshop “Application of GIS and Remote Sensing in Water Resources Management” organised by University of Engineering and Technology’s Centre of Excellence in Water Resources Engineering (CEWRE) started here on Monday.
UET Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Fazal Ahmad Khalid, speaking at the inaugural ceremony, said country’s economy depended on adequate and management of water resources with the help of modern techniques.
CEWRE’s Director Prof Dr Habib-ur-Rehman briefed the audience about the workshop and its benefits for professionals and students. Deans of university, faculty, and administration along with a large number of students were present on the occasion.
