Youth dies in road accident

LAHORE

A 22-year-old youth died and his friend suffered injuries when their motorcycle hit the fence of Metro Bus in the Ichhra police limits on Monday.

Jahangir, of Baba Azam Chowk Ichhra was on his way to home from his workplace on his motorcycle with his friend Naveed, near Ichhar he lost control over his motorcycle and hit the fence. As a result, he died on the spot and his friend was injured.

Booty: Following the directions of CCPO Lahore Capt (retd) Amin Wains, the SP CIA returned booty worth lakhs of rupees to their owners on Monday.

SP CIA Tariq Elahi Mastoi gave away Rs 1,556,000, motorcycles, gold ornaments, cell phones and other valuables to their owners. Police had recovered the booty from robbers and thieves.

rumours: DIG (Operations) Dr Haider Ashraf Monday urged the citizens ignore rumours as Lahore police was active for protection of lives and properties.

In a handout, he said citizens can get information regarding law & order at the social websites including Facebook. He said the terror attack on the Mall has boosted the morale of the police force to fight against terrorists.  He asked the citizens to inform police if they find any suspected thing or a person.
