Contracts finalised for civil works of DHPP
LAHORE: Dasu Hydropower Project (DHPP) civil works contracts have been finalised by the Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority (Wapda), chairman of the authority said on Monday.
Wapda chairman Muzammil Hussain, who was visiting hydropower projects Dasu, Keyal Khwar, Khan Khwar, Allai Khwar and Duber Khwar, said subsequent to the signing the agreements, construction on main works of the 2,160MW Stage-I of Dasu Hydropower Project would commence very soon. Likewise, the contractor for civil works of the 128MW-Keyal Khawar Hydropower Project has also started mobilising to the site for carrying out construction work on the project.
He expressed satisfaction over the work progress, including relocation of Karakoram Highway in the project area worth Rs14.538 billion, construction of right bank access road worth Rs2.713 billion and construction of 132 Kilovolt (KV) transmission line from Duber Khwar Hydel Power Station to Dasu worth Rs1.583 billion. He emphasised upon the project management to complete these works within the stipulated time.
