Ziaul Haq appointed TIP MD

ISLAMABAD: Ziaul Haq has been appointed as new managing director of Telephone Industries of Pakistan (TIP) and formal notification to this effect will be issued soon.
A meeting of the Board of Directors of TIP was convened here in Islamabad on Friday with Minister of State for IT Anusha Rahman in the chair. IT Federal Secretary Azmat Ali Ranjha, Acting MD TIP Muddassar Hussain, Member Legal Ms Amina and other board members were also present in the meeting.
Initially, three names for the appointment of new TIP MD were proposed by the Establishment Division to the Ministry of Information Technology. The TIP Board has unanimously approved the name of Ziaul Haq for the appointment of TIP MD.
The minister also appreciated the invaluable services of Mudassar Hussain he rendered as acting TIP MD for revitalisation of the organization. It has also been decided by the board that Mudassar Hussain would continue his assignment as TIP MD till the issuance of formal notification of new MD.
