Suspects arrested, drugs, arms recovered in Mohmand search operation

GHALLANAI: The security forces on Thursday arrested several suspects, including two Afghans, and recovered a huge cache of drugs and arms during a search operation in Haleemzai tehsil of Mohmand Agency, official sources said.
They said the security forces launched a search operation against anti-social elements in Main Mandi Bazaar in Haleemzai tehsil.The security forces got vacated the bazaar and conducted a search operation.
A huge amount of drugs and arms were recovered and several suspects arrested during the search. The arrested suspects were reportedly shifted to the headquarters of Mohmand Rifles for interrogation.
Meanwhile, the curfew clamped by the security forces in Mohmand Agency continued for the fourth consecutive day. The residents faced hardships as they were confined to their homes due to non-stop curfew. The patients could not be shifted to hospitals for medical assistance.
