LAHORE: Punjab’s non-official member Nawid Ehsan has tendered his resignation from NFC forum because of his personal engagements so the provincial government has nominated Ali Cheema, renowned economist, to represent the province into forum.
Talking to The News on phone, Punjab’s Finance Minister Ayesha Ghous Pasha confirmed that the provincial government nominated Ali Cheema as non-statutory member of Punjab for representing into NFC forum. “Nawid Ehsan has resigned because of his health issues and increased travelling so we have nominated Ali Cheema for representing the province into the fold of NFC,” she added.
Ali Cheema, a renowned economist, is affiliated with LUMS and conducted various studies in different areas of economics, taxation and development.
