To promote healthy competitive environment and attract youth towards vocational training, the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) is set to organise the first-ever National Skills Competitions and Job Fair in Islamabad.
The event will take place tomorrow (Sunday) at the Pakistan National Council of Arts.
According to organisers, the job fair is organised to provide a platform to skilled youth to meet industrialists and employers to secure jobs in line with their skills.
Previously, the NAVTTC held skills competitions at zonal and provincial levels across the country in which thousands of trainees participated and exhibited their skills in diversified trades.
The winners of each trade were awarded with cash prizes and certificates. Provincial competitions’ winners would now participate in the National Skills competitions and showcase their skills in 10 different trades including electrician, plumbing, beautician, graphic designing, dress making/fashion designing, diploma in Information Technology, auto cad, quantity survey, cooking and welding.
