Pakistan more peaceful than before: US consul general
LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said ties between America and Pakistan are multidimensional.
American Consul General Yuriy Fedkiw met the CM on Wednesday. Matters of mutual interest, promotion of Pak-US relations and cooperation in different sectors were discussed in the meeting.
He said Pakistan is making rapid progress under the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and the situation in the country has improved. He said Pakistan is more safe, peaceful and bright today than before. The Chief Minister said setting up of a society based on moderation and tolerance is the mission of the government and sincere efforts are being made to transform Pakistan into a welfare state in accordance with the vision of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
