The APS attack was carried out on December 16, 2014. This traumatic incident shattered the whole world and everyone condemned it. It was a wakeup call for the government to protect its citizens from extremism and barbarians. The government came into action and vowed to eliminate terrorism from the country. This marked the launch of Operation Zarb-e-Azab.
Two years have been passed, but terrorism is still on its peak. The large-scale carnage in Balochistan is the glaring example of the fact that terrorism is still deeply rooted in the country. It was assumed that the APS attack would wake the entire nation from its deep slumber and no such incidents would happen again. The government is requested to tight its nose against non-state actors so the citizens of the country can live a peaceful life. One extends sympathies to the bereaved families who lost their loved ones in the attack.

December 16 has marked the loss of more than a hundred school-going children owing to the APS attack. The incident shook the entire country. How can one forget the massacre of young children? The heart-breaking visuals of the incident still haunt the entire nation. However, December 16 was the day when the civil and military leadership finally came on one page and drafted a full scale action against sordid terrorism.
As a result, the National Action Plan (NAP) was coined. Operation Zarb-e-Azb and other similar operations were launched to destroy the networks and chains of terrorism from the grass root level. Such operations have been operated successfully, but several acts of terrorism are still being encountered by the country. Thus, there should be a proper implementation of NAP and other operations against terrorism to completely eradicate terrorism out of the country.
