Promotion of 465 cops approved

The promotion board meeting was held here Saturday under the chairmanship of SSP Admin Rana Ayaz Saleem.

The board approved promotions of 207 head constables and 258 constables to the rank of ASIs and head constables respectively. SP I&D, SSP Investigation, SP Headquarters and SSP Operations attended the meeting.

Work: Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) Director General Dr Rizwan Naseer laid the foundation stone of Jamia Masjid and Western Road of Emergency Services Academy at Tthokar Niaz Baig.

The DG ESA Brig (R) Amir Hamza, Registrar Dr Muhammad Farhan Khalid and other officers were also present on this occasion. 

On his arrival, Planning Officer Nasir Hassan and XEN Building Engr Asmat Sharif Dehlon briefed the director general on both projects and assured him that both projects would be completed in a stipulated time. The XEN Building briefed that Rs44.770 million would be spent on the mosque project, while Rs38.99 million had been sanctioned on Western Road of the ESA.

Talking about the western service road, the DG said that after construction of this road there would be a direct approach to Multan Road and Motorways and it would enhance the response time of Disaster Response Force (DRF) in case of major emergencies and disasters. Furthermore, this road will also provide easy access for the new highly specialised snorkels vehicles which were difficult to enter Emergency Services Academy due to narrow passage under the motorways.
