Anwarullah, 17-year-old, was suffering from lung cancer and his wish to meet Malala Yousafzai was fulfilled by Make-A-Wish (MAW) Foundation, Pakistan, last year. Anwarullah spent a day with his role model Malala. She played Monopoly with Anwar and was proud of him for his continuing education inspite of suffering from a life threatening disease.

She also had lunch with Anwar. Awnar was inspired by Malala’s fight for the basic right of education.Anwar was happy on the fulfillment of his most cherished wish of life. The meeting with Malala was widely covered by the international media, including BBC.

Make-A-Wish Foundation’s founding president Ishtiaq Baig, who accompanied Anwarullah in the meeting with Malala, said he was happy that Anwarullah’s most cherished wish to meet Malala was fulfilled by Make-A-Wish Foundation. However, he called Anwar’s demise a great loss to MAW family.
