The Islamabad Police have busted a gang of dacoits and also arrested 31 outlaws from various areas of the city besides recovering, wine bottles, weapons and looted items from their possession, the police spokesman said on Wednesday.
On a tip off, Station House Officer Sihala Police Station Inspector Ashiq Khan, Sub-Inspector Muhammad Hanif, Asad long with police team raided Shams colony Rawat and arrested 5 dacoits namely Ghulam Murtaza, Arshad Mehmood, Junaid, Nasir Mehmood and Imran besides recovering three 30 bore pistols along with ammunition from their possession.
Sabzi Mandi Police raided at Sector I-10/1 and arrested 16 accused involved in immoral activities and recovered two wine bottles from their possession. Industrial Area police arrested seven fraudsters portraying themselves as officials of ETO office.
Neelor Police arrested accused Faisal and recovered one 30 bore pistol along with ammunition from him. Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them.
SDPO Industrial Area along with Station House Officers of Sabzi Mandi and Industrial Area police stations along with police team conducted search in the area of under construction buildings and plazas. They succeeded to nab seven suspects who are being investigated further.
SSP has appreciated this overall performance and directed all police officials to ensure further effective policing.
