If the Met Office is to be believed, a respite from the prolonged dry spell is just around the corner.
According to a spokesman for the Met Office, rain and snowfall is expected in upper parts of the country over the weekend.
"A westerly wave is likely to enter Pakistan on Saturday. Under the influence of that weather system, rain with snowfall over the hills is expected at scattered places in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Fata, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir from Saturday evening or night to Monday," he said.
The spokesman also said thundershowers were expected at isolated places in Quetta, Zhob divisions, Islamabad and upper Punjab areas including Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Lahore, Faisalabad divisions on Saturday and Sunday.
He added that there was a high likelihood of light rain or drizzle along Sindh-Makran coast over the weekend.
