KP govt welcomes Centre’s announcement on NFC award
PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister Muzaffar Said has welcomed the announcement of the federal government about summoning the meeting of 9th National Finance Commission (NFC) award.
He was chairing a meeting of the provincial working committee on NFC on Wednesday, said a handout.The meeting, besides others, was attended by Prof Muhammad Ibrahim Khan, member NFC, Ihtishamul Haq, provincial consultant, Secretary Finance Ali Raza Bhutta and Deputy Secretary NFC Pervez Khan Sabatkhel.
The meeting took stock of the preparations and measures of the Provincial Working Party on NFC and termed it satisfactory in all respects. It was decided that representation of other departments including Planning & Development, Irrigation and Energy would be ensured in the Provincial Working Committee to better run the affairs of NFC.
The meeting demanded the federation to promptly announce date of the NFC meeting and provide its agenda and working paper to the provinces so that the provincial governments has enough time for the preparation.
