Court orders UHS to entertain admissions
LAHORE
The Lahore High Court on Wednesday directed the University of Health Sciences (UHS) to hold supplementary examinations of students of Sahara Medical College established by singer Ibraul Haq.
Counsel for the college told the court that the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) and UHS were victimising the college and not entertaining admission of its students for supplementary examinations. The lawyer pointed out that the respondent authorities nurtured grudge against the college after it obtained orders from the court in past in favour of its registration and students’ admissions. Justice Shams Mahmood Mirza directed the UHS to entertain admission of the college’s students for supplementary examinations and disposed of the petition.
