Partial funding of NCHD projects pledged

The National Commission for Human Development (NCHD) and Hashoo Foundation, led by Sadruddin Hashwani signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) here on Tuesday to cooperate with each other to integrate their planning and implementation activities to maximise the objectives of their common interests in the field of education and human development in Pakistan.

In this MoU, it was agreed that NCHD and Hashoo Foundation shall determine, through mutual consultation, the mechanism to further enhance cooperation and collaboration in the field of Education and Human Development by sharing experiences and through keeping close liaison.

In this collaboration funding will be provided by Hashoo Foundation. The MoU was signed by chairperson NCHD, Razina Alam Khan and country director of Hashoo Foundation, Aisha Khan with a purpose to outline the respective roles, responsibilities and liabilities of both organisations to work in collaboration in the field of education and human development, for three years.

Under the MoU, the Hashoo Foundation agreed to take the responsibility of funds generation and implementation of developmental and educational projects in consultation with NCHD. The HF also agreed to take the responsibility of technical backing, monitoring, compilation of data and updating of respective record of the project activities.

In this connection, NCHD pledged to provide technical support in the form of social mobilisation, teachers’ training, monitoring and evaluation of projects. On the occasion, Hashoo Foundation country director informed that HF considers NCHD relevant partner for achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and with its assistance want to achieve strategic access and improving quality in the objective of human development and education. The chairperson of the NCHD appreciated the services and contribution of Hashoo Foundation in the field of national service, especially in education and poverty alleviation.
