Domestic violence in Pakistan is an endemic social problem. A woman plays a vital role for the development of a nation but this country has totally ignored its women. According to the Human Rights Watch, every year more than 5000 women are killed and a large number of women suffer from abuse.
Law-enforcement authorities do not view domestic violence as a crime and usually refuse to register the cases and give justice to the victims. The concerned authorities are requested to pass more laws for the protection of women.
