LAHORE

PPP Sindh President Nisar Khuhro has said the PML-N government isn’t removing the apprehension of smaller provinces regarding the CPEC.

Flanked by Waqar Mehdi, General Secretary Pakistan Peoples Party Sindh, addressing a press conference, Nisar said the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz government had spent a huge amount of the CPEC aid on the Metro Train project and Karachi, a city five times greater than Lahore, had been ignored. He said it would have been better if the government had constructed Circular Railways, adding Sindh and smaller provinces were constantly being ignored by the rulers. Moreover, he also said that since 2015, the NFC Award hadn't been implemented. Nisar also said that assassination of  Benazir Bhutti was a huge tragedy and her vision was flourishing in the country. To a question regarding the bill barring forced conversion, he said it had been made to safeguard the rights of minorities. Regarding a question about new Chief of the Army Staff, the PPP leader said that he was a soldier free of political ambitions, adding the country’s prosperity was linked only to democracy.
