From Our Correspondent
GUJRANWALA: The Solid Waste Management Company has failed to clean the city as heaps of garbage could be witnessed in every nook and corner here.
The people said that the ignoring attitude of the Solid Waste Management Company could be witnessed even outside the boundary wall of the Tehsil Office where heaps of garbage could be seen. They said that hundreds of citizens pay visit here daily for their revenue matters, but the officers concerned had no interest to clean this area. The people said that inefficiency and lack of interest on the part of the Waste Management Company officers were the reasons behind this bad situation. The people and shopkeepers of the area told that they drew the attention of the company towards the issue but to no use. This office was situated just a few hundred yards from the DCO Office while the Police Lines was also situated near the location, but the company officers and officials had no interest to clean the city. The people demanded the authorities take notice of the issue.
