PakTurk schools teachers, students stage protest demo
LAHORE: Some students and teachers of PakTurk Schools on Friday protested against the deportation orders for Turkish teachers and demanded the government withdraw the same. The demonstration was held outside the Lahore Press Club in which children and mostly female teachers participated. They were carrying banners and placards inscribed with slogans in support of Turkish teachers. Later, a press conference was also held and demand to stop deportation of the Turkish teachers associated with the school system was made.
ISLAMABAD: Parents of 11,000 children studying at 26 Pak Turk Schools have shown concern over the future of their children who are preparing for their final examination.
Addressing a press conference here Friday the parents called upon the government to delay the decision to deport the Turkish teachers till the end of academic year. Substantiating their demand they argued that the abrupt changing of 108 teachers would adversely impact upon the students academic results. The Pak Turk school chain has been educating Pakistani students for the last 21 years.
