Pakistan to give warm reception to Erdogan: Salim Saifullah
ISLAMABAD: Pakistani nation will give warmth reception to President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his tour to Pakistan will bring new era of prosperity and friendship said honorary council general of Turkey, former federal minister Salim Saifullah Khan.
Turkish president is due in Pakistan today and is expected to sign different development projects and MoUs apart from addressing joint sitting of parliament.
The former federal minister urges Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to reconsider their decision of boycotting the parliament’s special session during Turkish president address, as it might be misinterpreted at the international level. “PTI may have differences with PML-N’s government or Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif but Recep Tayyip Erdogan is the guest of the whole Pakistani nation and we should welcome him as whole and show no differences in between us,” he added.
Salim Saifullah Khan said that Turkey is everlasting friend of Pakistan and they are playing important role in different development projects. He recalled how Turkey had extended help when a massive earthquake hit Pakistan and then at the time of flooding in 2010.
He said that Turkey has always extended full fledge support on Kashmir issue. “Recep Tayyip Erdogan is a man of international stature and his full fledge support on Kashmir issue is of immense important,” he added.
