PO involved in 100 cases killed in Sialkot ‘encounter’

SIALKOT: A proclaimed offender (PO) was killed in an encounter with Qila Kalarwala police near Ucha Jajja village on Thursday night.
PO Khurram Shahzad alias Khurmi of Talwandi village and his two unidentified accomplices deprived Muhammad Arshad and some other people of cash and valuables. In the meantime, one of the victims immediately informed the police about the incident. Following the information, the police rushed to the spot. Seeing the police, the criminals opened fire on them. The police also retaliated. As a result, PO Khurram Shahzad was killed on the spot while his accomplices managed to escape. However, the police claimed that the PO was killed by the firing of his accomplices.
According to the police, the killed PO was involved in more than 100 cases of murder, attempt to murder and robbery.
