Two people died while seven others were injured in two accidents in Karachi.
One person died and seven others were injured as a water tanker fell off the Sher Shah Bridge. Officials said the driver of the tanker was speeding and lost track of the bend in the bridge. The tanker landed outside the boundary wall of a mosque. Fortunately, the accident occurred after Friday prayers and there were only a few people around.
In another crash, a dumper truck ran over a motorcyclist, killing him on the spot. The driver fled the scene and an incensed mob set the abandoned vehicle on fire.
