ISF seeks release of detained workers
PESHAWAR: The Insaf Students Federation (ISF) on Saturday held a protest demonstration against the alleged torture and arrest of its workers in Islamabad.
The ISF asked the federal government to release the detained activists forthwith.
ISF Peshawar chapter’s president Ashfaq Marwat led the protesters.
Talking to reporters, he said the police arrested the members of the Insaf Students Federation, who were going to attend the sit-in in Islamabad on November 2.
The protesters, who gathered at Sher Shah Suri Road opposite the Cantonment Railway Station, held placards inscribed with slogans demanding the release of the ISF members.
Ashfaq Marwat criticised the federal government for detaining the activists of the ISF and said such tactics couldn’t prevent them from protesting against the corrupt rulers.
