Boy killed in Mohmand Agency landmine blast
GHALLANAI: A minor boy was killed while another sustained injuries in a landmine blast in Khazina area of Safi tehsil on Saturday, official sources said.
The sources said that two minor boys Muhammad Zubair and Muhammad Ayaz were herding the flocks of goats and sheep towards home when they struck a landmine in Khazina area of Safi tehsil in upper parts of Mohmand Agency. As a result, the former was killed while the latter sustained serious wounds.
The injured boy was shifted to a hospital in Peshawar for medical care.
Later, Assistant Political Agent Mohmand Agency visited the houses of victims’ families and expressed sympathy with them. The official handed over Rs300,000 cheque to the relatives of the deceased. He also handed over a cheque for Rs100,000 to the injured.
