AN 18-year-old boy was shot and injured by robbers on resistance near UET in the Gujjarpura police limits on Thursday. Police reached the spot very late despite calls on Police Rescue 15.
The victim was identified as Junaid. No case was registered till the filing of this report. Junaid was riding his brand new (applied for) car. When he reached near UET on GT Road, two unidentified motorcyclists intercepted him and tried to snatch his car.
He resisted them on which they got infuriated, shot at him and fled the scene. He was rushed to the Mayo Hospital by Edhi Ambulance Service. The incident took place at around 1:15pm but police did not reach till 4:00pm. SI Talib of Gujjarpura Police said that they did not have a copter and reached late due to traffic jam.
Man found dead: A 45-year-old unidentified man was found dead in the Data Darbar police limits on Thursday. Police have removed the dead body to the morgue for autopsy.
