Five foreign players withdraw from seniors tennis event
KARACHI: Five foreign players, including four Indians, withdrew from the 1st Long Beach Pakistan ITF Seniors world Ranking Tennis Championship.
The event is to be played from November 7-13 at the grass courts of PLTA tennis academy at Baagh-e-Jinnah, Lahore.
Dilip Mohanty from India and Sid Naeem from US withdrew from 35 plus singles category.
Prasad Apte and Gurdarshan Singh from India withdrew from 45 plus Round Robin category.
Naresh Khatri from India withdrew his name from 55 plus round robin category.
This is the second of four international senior events Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) is hosting this year.
Earlier, five Indian players had withdrawn from 3rd Maple Leaf Cement Pakistan ITF Seniors World Ranking Tennis Championships held in Lahore from October 30 to November 6.
Besides, India’s Parth Aggarwal (national ranking 199) withdrew his name from the $5000 Federal Cup ATT Tennis Championship held from October 23-26 in Islamabad.
The last event is 1st Karachi Gymkhana Pakistan ITF Seniors World Ranking Tennis Championships scheduled in Karachi from December 1-7.
