QUETTA: Awami National Party (ANP) chief Asfandyar Wali has said that ANP and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) support democracy and not any individual.

He said that no one could compete with that person in abuses. He said that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) would prove to be a game changer for the region and emphasised the need that small provinces should not be ignored in CPEC. Addressing the Balochistan High Court Bar and talking to media persons here on Thursday, he said that ANP would oppose any unconstitutional change in the country.

He said that names of those going to stage sit-in in Islamabad had also been mentioned in PanamaLeaks. “We will not accept accountability of only a single family,” he said.

He said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Jehangir Tareen had his own offshore companies. “There should be same law for all instead demanding accountability of a single family,” he said.

Commenting on Quetta Police Training Center carnage, he said why cadets were called back at PTC Quetta while earlier they had been allowed to go their home districts after passing-out parade.

He said that ANP would stage protest if small provinces were ignored in CPEC. He said that conspiracies were being hatched to damage education system and educated people of which proof and evidence were occurrence of acts of terrorism at Army Public School, Peshawar, Sandeman Civil Hospital, Quetta and in Mardan.
