Karachi Whites set stiff target for Rawalpindi
KARACHI: Azam Khan (82) and Ram Ravi (52) hit fine fifties to enable Karachi Whites to set 306 runs target for Rawalpindi on the second day of their three-day Inter-Region Under-19 tournament at Mirpur Stadium in Mirpur, Azad Kashmir.
In the triangular stage outing on Thursday, Azam hit 12 fours and two sixes in his 52-ball fifty. Ravi smashed seven fours in his 113-ball fifty to enable Karachi Whites to post 244 all out in their second innings. They had gained first innings lead of 61. Imran Khan was the pick of the bowlers with 5-30.
Mohammad Haroon claimed 4-67.
Rawalpindi were 26 without loss at stumps.
Earlier, in response to Karachi Whites first innings total of 144, Rawalpindi resumed their innings at 75-7 and were bowled out for 83.
Abrar Ahmed clinched 3-8 and Mohammad Umar captured 2-27.
