Islamabad: The Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC) has cleared the entire backlog of registration cases, and is now issuing registration as per its routine schedule.
“The list of registration cards that have not been collected by hand by the applicants, and the list of cards returned to PNC due to wrong addresses provided by applicants have been uploaded on the PNC website for nurses’ information, the president of PNC Dr. Rafat Jan shared while chairing the annual meeting of PNC here Thursday.
Nursing members from all over the country participated in the meeting. The purpose of the session was to address issues pertaining to the nursing profession. The meeting decided that concession in late fee would be given to nursing professionals who have not renewed their registration since long; as such, they can now renew their registrations by paying Rs3,000 up till December 31, 2016. Dr. Rafat further informed members that Online Registration System has already been launched. She requested members to create awareness among nursing professionals about this system.
The vice president of PNC Surriya Shahnaz informed the forum that the policy for registration of foreign and refugee nurses would be finalised after consultations with concerned departments.
