World Osteoporosis Day, observed worldwide on October 20 is a day to raise global awareness about the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of osteoporosis and metabolic bones disease. Every year, the day focuses on a specific theme and this year the campaign focuses on the protection of bones with a slogan, ‘Love Your Bones’.
The day was also observed in Pakistan with a large number of doctors, nurses and other medical staff raising awareness about the importance of the day. Such days should be observed across the country as the public at large must be educated about what is essential for their health.
