Pakistan beat Bangladesh in ICC Academy PD T20
KARACHI: A match-winning all-round performance by Nihaar Alam helped Pakistan disabled cricket team beat Bangladesh by 35 runs in the ICC Academy PD T20 Tournament 2016 at the ICC Academy Cricket Ground in Dubai on Friday.
Defending a target of 140, Pakistan dismissed Bangladesh for 105 in 19.5 overs. Uniruzzaman top scored for Bangladesh with 36 runs. Slow left-arm bowler Nihaar Alam was the star performer for Pakistan with figures of three for 15, a performance that earned him the Man-of-the-Match award. Abdullah Ijaz took 2-5, captain Jahanzeb 2-17 and Fayyaz Ahmed 2-37 respectively.
Earlier, Rehan Ghani Mirza struck three fours in his 45-run knock off 35 deliveries. Hasnain Alam (24), Adil Abbasi (22) and Nihaar Alam (22) also batted well. Off-spinner Musharaf Hossain captured two wickets for eight runs.
