WANA: At least two Pakistani soldiers were killed and one sustained injuries due to the indiscriminate firing from Afghanistan side on a security checkpost in Barmal tehsil in South Waziristan on Sunday, official sources said.
The sources said the troops deployed at the checkpost at Khwaja Khizar Sar near Pakistan-Afghanistan border in Barmal tehsil came under attack from across the border.
They said the series of firing stopped only after the strong retaliation shown by Pakistani forces. However, by this time two Pakistani soldiers had been killed and another injured.
Meanwhile, the elders of Ahmadzai Wazir tribe strongly condemned the firing from Afghanistan side.
